Soil Sampling at Former Automotive Site

Watsonville, California

McAlister GeoScience supported a limited subsurface investigation at a former used car dealership in Watsonville, California. The work focused on evaluating soils near the location of a previously removed septic system to assess potential impacts from historic automotive repair activities.

Our team advanced soil borings to approximately 20 feet below ground surface and continuously logged subsurface conditions during drilling. Soils were field screened for indications of contamination, and representative samples were collected and submitted to a certified laboratory for analysis.

No obvious impacts were observed during field screening. All samples were properly documented and shipped for further evaluation.

This targeted sampling effort provided the project team with the subsurface data needed to assess potential environmental conditions at the site.
