Now Hiring: Staff Environmental Consultant – Seattle, WA

McAlister GeoScience is looking to hire a Seattle based Staff Environmental Consultant with 0-3 years experience in the environmental consulting field; specifically Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Asbestos, Lead, Mold assessments, and the performance of remediation tasks.  Specific skills include soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sample collection, data analysis, underground storage tank (UST) removal and oversight, contractor supervision, and Phase I site assessments site walks.

Expected work load is 25-35 hours per week contract work with the a strong possibility of full time work.  Competitive hourly compensation and extremely flexible work schedule and remote work is included.  Candidates must be motivated self-starters and able to manage their time independently to deliver work products on time and accurately.  Excellent communication skills are a must as well as proficiency in standard business software including word, excel, power point, google earth, and adobe acrobat with extra consideration for proficiency in AutoCADD.  Extensive field work should be expected in all weather conditions while working around heavy equipment.   Current OSHA HAZWOPER, first aid, and CPR preferred.  Candidates without OSHA training and / or less than one year’s experience also considered. Proof of degree from an accredited university in engineering, geology, environmental science or related discipline required with the submission of a writing sample for which the candidate is the primary author.
