As we approach California’s wet season, all signs are pointing to an extremely strong El Niño condition, specifically from January to March 2016. Strong storms will lead to flooding, blockages of flood channels and catch basins, mudslides and debris flow, and storm water runoff from industrial facilities and construction sites causing water quality impairment.
For the upcoming El Niño season, it is important to understand and maintain stormwater compliance requirements at industrial facilities and construction sites. With the new requirements and standards set by the State Water Resources Control Board in July this year, many industrial sites are now required to comply with what was previously exempt.
